***Important Information – The Covid-19 situation is extremely fluid and things are constantly changing.  There will be some temporary restrictions for this event.  Some examples will be requiring attendees to wear a mask when not lifting and closing off the venue to most spectators.  Please be patient as we navigate this tricky situation.

The Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa is offering our group a reduced rate of $139/night for standard double and standard king rooms!  Make your reservation now!!  Please not the rate is $164 for triple occupancy and $184 for quadruple occupancy.

This will be another 3 day event and we will be able to accommodate up to 408 athletes!  Please ensure you register for your proper division.  Divisions will not be immediately validated.  After validation occurs, and you have registered for the wrong division, your registration will be refunded.  Meaning, you will need to register again.  It also means that, if your division is now sold out, you will have to be wait listed.

Below is the breakdown of available Tier 1/2 registrations for each division.  All remaining registrations will be converted to the Open division.  We will reassign individuals to the correct division if we are able to fit with in our schedule.

We will close registration on December 1 2020.  This is done so that travel arrangements can be made with confidence in advance.  A schedule will be ready on, or about, December 1 *If space allows, we will accommodate coaches that want to lift at the beginning of the event.  We will follow the same lifting as in the past.  Masters should expect to lift on Friday.  Open should expect to lift on Saturday and Sunday.  Our U20 lifters will lift on Saturday.

The 2021 Texas State Weightlifting Championships and Open will award first, second, and third place prizes for all weight categories across all divisions and awards for the best Male/Female lifter based on your NRS score (this is the score used to identify USAW World Teams).  In addition to individual awards, an award will be up for grabs for the best team.  Masters will use Sinclair/Meltzer.  Best Lifter documentation can be found here.

The team entry fee is $100.  The team entry fee will be reduced by $5 for every member of your club that registers to compete by December 1 2020.  If your club registers 20 people your team entry fee is complimentary; however, you must send an email indicating you wish to be involved in the team event.  Each individual must indicate the club they represent at the time of registration.  Please register your team on December 10 2020 or when all of your lifters have signed up, whichever comes first.  Send an email to RobertSirkis@hotmail.com before you register your team.  We will then look at the number of athletes signed up and give you a proper discount code based on that number.
