The 2024 Texas State Weightlifting Championships are returning to the Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio January 12-14! Registration opens October 1 at 8am and will accommodate 540 lifters!

REGISTRATION TIMELINE

  1. Qualifying Period: October 16, 2022 – September 30, 2023
  2. First Round Registration^:  October 1 – October 14
    1. One qualifying total % for each age group
      1. Masters – 95% 2023 Masters Nationals Qualifying Total
        1. Use correct 2024 Age category*
      1. Seniors – 85% 2023 Senior Nationals Qualifying Total
      1. U20
        1. Juniors – 95% 2023 Junior Nationals Qualifying Total
          1. Use correct 2024 Age*
        1. Youth – 95% 2023 Youth Nationals Qualifying Total
          1. Use correct 2024 Age Category*
  3. Open Registration:  October 15 – Dec 1
    1. All remaining U20 and/or Masters spots will convert to Open November 1
    1. First come, first served
  4. Wait List:  October 23 – December 1

The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa is offering our group a reduced rate of $159/night!  Make your reservations now!

This will be another 3 day event and we will be able to accommodate up to 540 athletes!  Please ensure you register for your proper division.  Divisions will not be immediately validated.  After validation occurs, and you have registered for the wrong division, your registration will be refunded minus $5 to cover credit card processing.  Meaning, you will need to register again.  It also means that, if your division is now sold out, you will have to be wait listed.

We will close registration on December 1.  This is done so that travel arrangements can be made with confidence in advance.  A schedule will be ready on, or about, December 1 and will be similar to the below very tentative schedule.

*If space allows, we will accommodate coaches that want to lift at the beginning of the event.

The 2024 Texas State Weightlifting Championships and Open will award:

  • Medals to first, second, and third place for all weight categories across all divisions
  • Best Lifters
    • Best Male/Female
    • Best Overall Lifters
  • Best Teams
Refund Operation:
Refunds will be granted only if the requester can be replaced by someone on the wait list.  No refunds will be allowed after December 3.

Wait List Operation:

1 – Wait List remains open until December 3 (on December 6 the event is closed to further registrations)
2 – Priority 1 is to replace a U20 with a U20
2A – A lifter will be moved to the U20 division if the lifter was previously added to the start list as an open lifter
2B – Replace the U20 lifter with the next U20 lifter on the wait list
2C – If another U20 is not on the list the U20 will be replaced with the first athlete on the list
3 – Priority 2 is to replace a Master with a Master
3A – A lifter will be moved to the Masters division if the lifter was previously added to the start list as an open lifter
3B – Replace the Master lifter with the next Master lifter on the wait list
3C – If another Master is not on the list the Master will be replaced with the first athlete on the list
4 – Priority 3 is to replace an Open lifter with the next lifter on the list regardless of division
